This is a solo show of artist Megan Hildebrant who is a professor at the acclaimed Interlochen School in Northern Michigan. This will be Hildebrant’s first exhibit at MICA Gallery. January 15 – February 28, 2016. The artist will be in attendance at the opening reception.

“Forward Moving Fire” is a collection of sculptural works investigating malleable memory, shifting recall, and changes in visualization over time through use of destruction as a primary method of creation. This is alchemy. Warped objects and collisions between chance, ritual, violence and domesticity become precious artifacts.
The artist will be in attendance and refreshments will be served.
